Background:

Fundrise, a real estate investment platform, has launched a tool to give detailed property information to both investors and professionals. The platform provides instant access to detailed market intelligence, from neighborhood income trends and migration patterns to multifamily property comparisons and average rents, down to the individual property level.

Ben Miller, co-founder and CEO of Fundrise, says the platform goes far beyond generalized AI tools. “It does the work of a real estate analyst, and it’s for anyone,” he said. “We built a database with 3.5 trillion data points, covering every property in America.”

RealAI is free for the first dozen uses, after which a standard subscription costs $69 per month. The tool currently focuses on residential properties, but Miller expects to expand it to other commercial real estate sectors within six months.

The platform uses public and private data about residents and workers to compare markets, evaluate properties, and estimate returns.

Miller explained that the platform can show users the best properties to buy, something usually done by big investment firms.

Fundrise, started in 2012, has always aimed to make real estate investing easier for everyone. It began as a crowdfunding platform and later became a fund structure. Today, it manages $3 billion in assets and serves more than 2 million investors.

While Miller acknowledges that AI may reduce jobs in the real estate sector, he emphasizes that the goal of RealAI is to democratize access to market intelligence. “Technology often benefits the largest players, but we want this available to everyone,” he said.

By using technology, data, and low-cost investment options, Fundrise wants to change how people and professionals invest in real estate, making advanced tools and opportunities available to everyone.
